Two-Step Validation of a New Wireless Inertial Sensor System: Application in the Squat Motion

The use of Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) can provide embedded motion data to improve clinical application. objective this study was validate a newly designed IMU system. validation is provided through two main methods, classical sensor achieved on six-degrees-of-freedom hexapod platform with controlled linear and rotation motions functional subjects performing squats segmental angle measurement. kinematics the sensors were measured by using an optoelectronic reference system (VICON) then compared orientation raw IMUs. Bland–Altman plots Lin’s concordance correlation coefficient computed assess kinematic parameter errors between IMUs VICON results showed suitable precision for linear, squat motions.
